MORE SATURN GAMES

In a recent interview with the new head of Sega Japan has promised
that despite all the talk about the new machine, Sega will continue to
support the Saturn with the release of superb new games for the
forseeable future. Sega are working to drag people away from Pcs and
no to their machines, new and old.

SEGA JOIN FOOTBALL FRENZY

Look out in May for the release of World League Soccer from Sega.
After the success of the worldwide soccer games you can be sure that
this one will be at least as good, if not better.

YOUR TV WILL BE BUGGED!

Another of Sega’s videogame stars is set to become a cartoon hero.
This time, Bug joins the ranks of Sonic and others as the stars of
their own animated series. Sega is getting together with Alliance
Communications to produce the series which should hit by the end of
the year, probably on one of the satelite or cable channels.

DEEP FEAR

While the entire Saturn gaming world holds it’s breath and waits to
see if Resident Evil 2 will get produced for the Sega machine, and us
Brits wait in vain for the UK version, news has leaked from Sega HQ
that they’ve a new game due for release in the Summer that’s being
heralded as Resident Evil underwater. It goes by the name of Deep
Fear and it features the same arcade adventurey action, but it’s set
on submarines and at the bottom of the ocean.

RIVEN HITS THE SATURN

The sequel to the worldwide mega hit Myst is going to be unleased on
the Saturn. The original was one of the first Saturn games, and
proved to be hugely popular with adventurers. The sequel, Riven, is
the same style of game but is much bigger and the puzzles are trickier
than ever. Some may call it a slideshow, but you’ll get to see what
it’s really like in the summer.

IGUANA JOIN KATANA CLUB

Iguana developers of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and NFL Quaterback club
for the N64 for Acclaim have just taken delivery of their Katana
development system from Sega. They’re keeping quiet about what games,
if any, they’re developing for the system, but the fact that Sega are
staking such high profile developers bodes well for the Katana when it
finally gets launced next year in the US and UK. Just think, maybe
they will do an extra high-res version of Turok or another 3D shooter
using the same engine.  Wow!
